Pylon

March 24, 2008

pylon.jpg This is a piece I did a couple of months ago. First I covered the board in masking tape, traced on the shape of the pylon, cut along the lines and peeled off the excess tape. Then I sprayed it lightly, waited for it to dry and then peeled of the tape. The result is pretty clean- nice to have the wood grain showing through the pylon shape and all the paint forming the background.

Pernod Presentation

March 24, 2008

pernod1.jpgThis is a series of 3 styleframes that formed the basis of an animation I did for ADG Creative for their client Pernod Ricard. It is a 3d timeline showing major milestones in cocktail styles. The timeline was built and animated in Maya and composited in After Effects.

Lands Opener

March 14, 2008

lands1.jpg These are some styleframes from an opener that I art directed and animated for Cornerstone media. I had to work within quite strict style guidelines provided by the client. The result is nothing too complicated but visually quite clean and simple.

No Parking

This was an old no parking sign I saw in Osaka. I really like the colours and geometry in the shot.

Fuel Pitch Styleframes

March 14, 2008

fuelpitch1.jpg This was a really fun brief to pitch on. Come up with a channel id for the Australian division of Fuel TV. At adg creative I developed a series of styles that related to the concept of science. The ids all related in different ways to this central premise and were linked via periodic table style squares that represented the days of the week. These styleframes illustrate one of the styles we developed further. I was responsible for the art direction and execution of the frames. Thanks to Kim at adg for helping shape the initial concept into something convincing and solid.
