Pylon

 This is a piece I did a couple of months ago. First I covered the board in masking tape, traced on the shape of the pylon, cut along the lines and peeled off the excess tape. Then I sprayed it lightly, waited for it to dry and then peeled of the tape. The result is pretty clean- nice to have the wood grain showing through the pylon shape and all the paint forming the background.

This was an old no parking sign I saw in Osaka. I really like the colours and geometry in the shot.

Along the Road

This one of my favourite photos from my trip to Japan late last year. I took this shot in Osaka on my last night out shooting. I walked all this way down some highway hoping to get a clear shot of the rest of the city off in the distance but I never got the angle I was after. So I looked a little closer at my surroundings and shot this image of a building next to a rubbish furnace. I really like the strong geometry and colours. I had to wait quite a while to get a long exposure without traffic but it was definitely worth it.
